You can Install Auto Glass Without Partner

Another good reason to work alone is when there are issues like leaks and damage to a vehicle, your partner may have been responsible for them yet you will bear some of the blame. If you did the job by yourself, you know where the problem comes from. Also, if you install auto glass by yourself, you will learn very quickly how not to mess up. You are the only one who can be blamed for your mistakes.

When I first started out in this business I worked with a partner who was training me. I learned a lot in a short period of time yet I couldn’t master the trade. My instructor would do all of the hard parts and I would get the easy stuff to do. When I finally was released on my own, I still wasn’t very good and had to learn from experience. It was almost like learning all over again. The hard parts were very hard for me because I never did them during the training period.

The biggest reason to learn the trade by yourself is going into your own business. If you want to start your own business, you better know how to install auto glass by yourself. When you first start out you will not have a large customer base so you will not need to hire anyone. If you can’t work alone, you can’t go into your own business.

My advice to you if you are going to be trained on the job, ask your instructor to let you do all of the work even the hard stuff. More than likely he will agree and he will also sense that you are serious about it and that you want to learn and be good at it.

You will enjoy working on your own a lot more than working with a partner. You will be your own boss, you won’t have anyone to answer to and you will create a reputation for yourself in the auto glass industry.
